Climate impacts are already harming health, through air pollution, disease, extreme weather events, forced displacement, pressures on mental health, and increased hunger and poor nutrition in places where people cannot grow or find sufficient food. Climate science is constantly being updated with more precise measurements and predictions as scientists research the affects of climate change on our planet. Understanding the basic science is critical to deploying solutions that will make the biggest impact in mitigating the affects of climate change.
